A new firmware update for AirPods Pro 2 with support for new iOS 18 features has been released
Apple has released a new beta version of the firmware for AirPods Pro 2 with build number 7A5290a.
This firmware includes new features that Apple announced in iOS 18.
Among them is the ability to control Siri and calls by nodding or shaking your head. For example, if you receive a phone call, you can shake your head to decline it or nod to accept the call.
There’s also a new Voice Isolation feature, which reduces the volume of background noises during a conversation. Additionally, the Personalized Spatial Audio feature allows you to play games with spatial sound.
Currently, the firmware is available only to developers. The official release will take place after the launch of iOS 18 in September 2024.” [MacRumors]
