Just this weekend, Winterboard was updated for iOS 7 and 64-bit devices. While Saurik seemed a bit unsure, Winterboard should run smoothly on the Mini 2, Air, and 5s.
What does this mean for jail breakers? Simply put, you’ll now be able to show off the Evasion7 jailbreak to all of your friends. This brings back the functionality that Apple takes out; the personalization of your phone. Instead of the subtle changes like Zeppelin, you will now be able to completely overhaul your iDevice. Winterboard supports a massive library of themes, each of which can allow you to change your lock screen, home screen, icons, and/or folders. With iOS7, changes to control center and notifications can be expected too. Attached, you’ll see the popular Obscure 7 for iOS 7. This adds a simplistic black and white interface to your iPhone 5/s. While WinterBoard has been updated, be wary of incompatible tweaks still sitting in Cydia. Overall, this opens up many doors for jailbreakers, both user and developer. New themes should be seen popping up almost every day with JailBreak developers eager to get ahead of the competition.
