Steve Jobs was a quirky character, one of the smartest who ever lived. However, he was a child at heart and this story proves it. Steve reportedly wanted to put a golden ticket into the millionth iMac purchase which gave the recipient a fly in from where ever they were to cupertino and an opportunity to meet Jobs at the Cupertino campus. They also got the iMac purchase price refunded. Steve wanted to meet a real fanboy… Or at least someone who bought Apple products. Does this sound familiar? To me, it does. Ever see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Steve had a sense of humor in him underneath his almost narcissistic and serious personality. It shows that he was a child at heart. That is something that I loved so much about Steve. He could be serious and he could be funny and light-hearted. He was a well-rounded person.

So what happened to the idea? California law states that actual handover of money or a representation of money (hint the golden ticket) is not allowed.
