After the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Buds 3, many users noticed the similarity in design between Samsung’s new products and Apple’s Apple Watch Ultra and AirPods.
This issue reached Samsung’s leadership. Lee Jae-yong, CEO of Samsung and Chairman of the Board, was very irritated, despite being known for his mild character and usually not getting angry.
He summoned top executives of Samsung’s mobile division, Samsung MX, and reprimanded them for approving such designs. Additionally, some high-ranking employees of Samsung MX were fired.
Samsung itself acknowledged that there were internal disputes over design plagiarism within the company.
Chairman Lee made a statement himself when the controversy over the design plagiarism and quality of the Buds 3 and Galaxy Watch 7 series, released last month, erupted. The current internal atmosphere is not very good.

It is likely that the next versions of the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Buds will have a different design that will not resemble Apple’s products as much. [Cult of Mac]
