I thought I was stuck. I thought that I was stuck on owning cheap, slow PCs for the rest of my life. I thought that I was stuck with Microsoft and would forever be doomed to their slow computers. Then I got my first Mac. Then I was free from the terrors that is Windows. Free from the terrors that had forsaken me for so long. Away with the old and in with the new.
My first Mac was a Mac mini. That Mac was amazing. It does all that I needed from my computer and much, much more. I still remember the first time I heard that chime come form the then new Mac. I remember the first download, a copy of iTunes. I remember the first GarageBand recording, the first iMovie made on it. I remember the first strokes of the keyboard. Not only do remember all of this, I still do all these things on the very same Mac. However, I have a few brothers of my Mac mini now. His big brother the iMac and his portable brother the MacBook Pro. I may not use my mini as much as I used to, but It will still be my first Mac. The Mac that broke me out of Microsoft Jail. The place I was confined to for so long. The place I do not wish to be again.
Thank you Apple, and more importantly Steve Jobs for breaking me out of the Microsoft world I lived in and into the light that is Mac. Thank you for everything you have done for not only me but for millions of people around the world. Thank you for breaking the world out of the Microsoft jail. I am indebted to you for doing so. Thank you to a man who has changed the way I view things, including my computer, my phone and the way I listen to music. Thank you Mac mini, for allowing me to see what I was not seeing, for letting me explore and love Mac computers and Apple itself.
Thanks for reading,

Oh, we share the same sentiment, Jeremy. I used to think I was stuck with a computer which operating system was poorly performing, too. But thanks to Apple, I got a better deal. Mac is such a wonder.
I certainly agree with your opinion. Apple has done so much to make life more fun and easy.
Such a great article!
