So you want the next Apple TV 4K, a refreshed HomePod mini, and maybe a weird little HomePad screen thing to boss your lights around, same.
Here’s the spicy part, Apple reportedly has four new home products basically ready to launch, but they’re being held hostage by the new Siri.
According to the report, the lineup includes a new Apple TV 4K, a full-sized HomePod (HomePod 3), a HomePod mini 2, and the long-rumored smart home display, which is being called “HomePad” or “HomePod Touch.”
And the reason they’re not on shelves already, Apple wants the Apple Intelligence and new Siri experience to actually work in these things before they ship them.
On one hand, that’s very Apple, ship it when it’s ready, not when the internet is yelling.
On the other hand, my living room is still running on vibes and an Apple TV from 2022, so I am definitely part of the internet that is yelling.
If this is all tied to the big Siri makeover that’s expected to land across iOS 27, tvOS 27, and whatever HomePod software ends up being called next, then yeah, we might be waiting a bit.
But honestly, if Apple nails a truly smarter Siri that can run a whole home without me having to rephrase “turn off the lights” like I’m negotiating a treaty, I’ll forgive the delay.
