Apple Watch is basically your 2026 hype coach, and Fitness+ just brought the playlist

New year, new you, same Apple habit of making me feel slightly judged by my own wrist.

Apple just posted a big Apple Watch + Fitness+ update for 2026, and it’s basically a friendly reminder that your watch was not built to let you rot in peace.

Starting January 5, Apple Fitness+ is rolling out four brand-new workout programs with weekly training plans, which is perfect if you love structure, or if you’re like me and need someone to tell you what to do without making eye contact.

Also, the Artist Spotlight workouts are back with full playlists, including KAROL G and Bad Bunny. Which means your “quick workout” can accidentally become a full concert where you sweat, vibe, and pretend you meant to do cardio.

And if you’re more of a “walk and overthink” person, Time to Walk is adding new episodes with guests like Penn Badgley, Mel B, and Michelle Monaghan. So yes, your hot girl walk now comes with celebrity storytelling.

My favorite part is Apple calling out the whole Quitter’s Day thing. They’re basically saying, “We see you, we know you’ll try to ghost your resolution, and we brought receipts.”

If you need a nudge, there’s also a limited-edition Ring in the New Year award, plus a Strava challenge for extra peer pressure, the healthy kind.

So yeah, if you got an Apple Watch for the holidays, or you’ve had one and you’re ready to stop using it like a very expensive clock, this is your moment.
