A long time ago, in what seems like a galaxy far, far away, Apple and Google were the Brad and Jennifer of the tech world. Google had the cloud, Apple had the clients, and both companies were such industry darlings that fantasizing about world-changing Apple/Google team-ups was a popular pundit pasttime. The love extended all the way up to the top of Apple, with Google CEO Eric Schmidt taking the stage alongside Jobs at WWDC 2007 for the iPhone’s unveiling. Jobs was supposedly so pleased with the prospects for Apple/Google collaboration that when he learned of Google’s secret “Gphone” project (Android), he reportedly hit the roof.

How a 15-yo Kid Tricked Apple With a Disguised iPhone Tethering App
Oh, Nick Lee, you clever boy you. See, Nick here tricked Apple with a very simple iPhone application: Handy Light. On the surface it looked just like any other $0.99 flashlight application. But, secretly, it was a lot more useful.

He’s Apple’s lost co-founder … And the ultimate what-if story of Silicon Valley
PAHRUMP, Nev. — It’s usually past midnight when Ron Wayne, co-founder of Apple, leaves his home here and heads into town. Averting his eyes from a boneyard of abandoned mobile homes, he drives past Terrible’s Lakeside Casino & RV Park, then makes a left at the massage parlor built in the shape of a castle.
When he arrives at that night’s casino of choice, Wayne makes a beeline for the penny slot machines. If it’s the middle of the month and he has just cashed his Social Security check, he will keep battling the one-armed bandits until 2 a.m. Wayne is waiting to hit the jackpot, and he is long overdue.
If Ron Wayne, now 76, weren’t one of the most luckless men in the history of Silicon Valley, it wouldn’t have turned out like this.

Pair says ‘iDo’ in Apple store wedding
This past Valentine’s day, a couple said ‘iDo!’ at New York’s Fifth Avenue Apple store during what may be the first Apple-themed wedding ever.
The ceremony was officiated by a celebrant dressed as Steve Jobs, who read the couple their vows from an iPhone.
The groom, Josh Li, explains that he and his newlywed’s love blossomed over iPods.
“We got to know each other because Ting was looking to buy an iPod…and I managed to strike up a conversation that way,” Josh told Entertainment Weekly.
iPhone Now Has A Windows Live Messenger App
Compatible with iOS4 (dropping sometime today), Microsoft’s Windows Live Messenger app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch combines IM functionality with Facebook, MySpace, YouTube and Flickr support. It’s a free download, and even has Hotmail support built-in too.
While Twitter may be the noticeable missing gap in all the social-networking features, it doesn’t sound like a bad little app for anyone who still lives in the glory-days of the late ’90s/early ’00s, when MSN IM was the sole reason I never handed my homework in on time. It also works with Y! Messenger, so you can chat to both sets of friends within the one app. Notifications for new IM messages received are a standard, and you can share photos from your phone in conversations with friends, or upload to albums. Out now, it’s a free download. [iTunes via Redmond Pie]

Apple’s latest gadget the iPad is an amazing product to say the least with an unlimited amount of possibilities and uses for just about any situation or need. iPad coming to church altars
ROME – An Italian priest has developed an application that will let priests celebrate Mass with an iPad on the altar instead of the regular Roman missal. The Rev.
