Apple’s “Big Week” Starts Today, and the MagSafe Era Is About to Go Fully Complete

Okay, deep breath, Apple people, the “big week” is officially here.

Apple has confirmed new product launches start today, Monday, March 2, and if you’re like me, your brain instantly went into refresh-mode. Not for your devices, for your tabs.

The most satisfying rumor-meets-reality detail, we might finally hit the moment where every iPhone Apple sells has MagSafe. Yes, even the more affordable model, which would be huge if Apple also quietly waves goodbye to the last iPhone that weirdly didn’t have it.

And the iPad situation might get a glow-up too. The expectation is the next base iPad could land with an A18-class chip and Apple Intelligence support, which would make “AI on every new iPad” a real thing, instead of a sometimes thing, which is very Apple, but also very annoying.

Then there’s the Mac side of this, and it’s spicy. A new lower-priced MacBook is rumored, and it would be kind of hilarious if Apple brought us a fresh laptop and made us charge it like it’s 2017 again. So yes, I’m rooting hard for MagSafe to be non-negotiable here.

My take, this is the kind of lineup cleanup Apple does when it’s getting ready for the next big leap. The boring stuff like ports, magnets, and baseline chips sounds small, but it’s how the whole ecosystem starts feeling “done” in the best way.
