yo so Apple just dropped some news that’s honestly pretty wild if you have (or want) an Apple Vision Pro
Basically they’re doing this thing called Spectrum Front Row in Apple Immersive, and it’s gonna let you watch live Lakers games on Vision Pro like you’re basically sitting there. Like not just a normal stream, it’s the whole immersive vibe with a bunch of different camera angles and 3D graphics floating in front of you and Spatial Audio so you hear the sneakers squeaking and the crowd going crazy, which is pretty cool
It starts Friday January 9, 2026, with Bucks vs Lakers. And the live games part is only for people in the Lakers regional area (SoCal, Hawaii, and parts of southern Nevada like Las Vegas). But they’re still doing replays and highlights in Apple Immersive for other places too, which is nice because not all of us live in LA sadly
Also it says you can watch through the Spectrum SportsNet app on Vision Pro or the NBA app, and you’ll need like the right subscription or at least an NBA ID depending on what your doing
My opinion, this is the kind of stuff Vision Pro actually needs. Like I love the idea of spatial computing and all that but people want a reason to wear this expensive headset thing, and sports is such an easy win. If it looks as good as they’re saying, it’s gonna make normal streams feel kinda boring
Also if I had one I’d totally invite friends over and be like ok guys were all going courtside tonight. Even though we’re literally in my living room
